So, you make some decent money over time, but you don't do much in the way of completing sets. So, they're basically pointless, and the best that you're typically going to do without the online map is to pick up collectibles as you randomly pass them (which is made easier by always using the metal detector, but that doesn't help with all collectibles), which means that you're mostly going to be selling collectibles individually and only rarely selling sets. With the online map, people have been able to complete sets ridiculously easily and make money way faster than how the role is supposed to work, making it incredibly easy to have enough cash to buy everything that can be bought with cash.Īnd without the online map, it's way too hard to complete sets, because the in-game collector maps just tell you where random collectibles are, not where the ones you're missing are. Honestly, I'm surprised that they didn't randomize it more. But the rule appears to be the higher-value sets are the ones randomized.Īnd the Current Jean Map is updated to indicate What We Know in the Legend, so its always there, as well. I remember Flowers and Cards and eggs are SAME AS Always, Coins/Jewlery are NEW RANDOMIZED - not 100% sure on alcohol. Jean did list them, but I didnt' write it down and I'm on my phone so I remember some of them in each category but not all. You'll go there and there will be a Coin (Or whatever item), but there's now no way to know what coin it will be.

So if bottles are indeed not randomized, then you will find the alcohol bottle as marked, the way it is marked.īut yes the sets that ARE NOW Randomized - means what you said. Not being randomized - and a few of the sets still are NOT - means they work exactly the way they always have.
RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 ONLINE COLLECTOR UPDATE
If not, you'll have to fork over the Gold to get your Collector's Bag.Well - I THINK (You'll have to check the map and the update description he posted, I didn't check before I wrote this lol) - he said Alcohol bottles aren't being randomized. If you also play GTA Online, you can find the hidden playing cards locations to waive the 15 Gold Bar fee. If you don't want to start as a Collector just yet, you can visit Madam Nazar's location in Red Dead Online to purchase it at any time. To get started, players will have to pay Madam Nazar 15 Gold Bars to get a special Collector's Bad. Essentially, you'll need to hunt down what she is looking for and in exchange she will pay your a nice chunk of change. She will tell you about the Collector role and offer you a job.

Madam Nazar will then tell you a little bit about herself and read your future. After calling her a crook and a charlatan, the Old Man heads out, leaving the two of you alone. Upon arrival, players will begin a cutscene featuring Madam Nazar and Old Man Jones. Finding Madam Nazar's location in Red Dead Online won't always be easy, but thankfully the initial meeting won't be too hard. This will lead you east of Annesburg next to O'Creagh's Run. You can find her initially by opening your map and looking for the "To Become a Collector" mission. To become a Collector in Red Dead Online, the first thing that you'll need to do is visit Madam Nazar.
